At The Little Bra Company®, we know that fit is everything—especially for petites. That’s why we design bras with smaller bands and scaled-down cups for a better, more flattering fit. But even with a carefully measured size, some styles may feel a bit snug or roomy depending on the fabric, design, or your body’s natural fluctuations. That’s where sister sizing comes in.
What Is Sister Sizing?
Sister sizes are bra sizes that have the same cup volume, but a different band size. If you’re a true 30C, your sister sizes would be 28D (tighter band) or 32B (looser band). The cup volume stays the same, but the band changes.

Why It’s Helpful for Petites
Petite frames are uniquely proportioned, and even small changes in the band can make a big difference in comfort and support. Sister sizing gives you more flexibility when:
- A bra style runs tight or loose in the band.
- You’re in between sizes.
- You prefer a snugger or looser fit depending on the day or activity.
Pro Tip:
When trying sister sizes, make sure the bra fits snugly on the loosest hook, especially if it’s new. You want room to tighten over time as the elastic naturally relaxes. You may view our sister size chart here: www.thelittlebracompany.com/pages/fitting-room
