Celebrating Chinese New Year | Wear RED for Good Luck

Gung Hay Fat Choy! January 28, 2017 marks the Year of the Rooster on the Chinese lunar calendar. Chinese New Year is the biggest, most elaborate celebration in China where the color red symbolizes auspiciousness, prosperity and loyalty. Chinese people believe that a good start to the year will lead to a lucky year. One way to start the year off right is to wear red. That’s right. Wear a red belt, red socks, red shoes, red clothes, and of course, red undergarments!

Those who were born in the Year of the Rooster (1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017) are considered trustworthy, confident, pompous and are bluntly honest.

Some famous roosters include Serena Williams, Beyoncé, Dolly Parton, Britney Spears, Kelly Rowland, Paris Hilton, Gloria Estefan, Catherine Zeta Jones, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lope

We wish you success and happiness this Year of the Rooster!
